Climate Change Levy

In these challenging times, we’re happy to let you know some good news about your customers’ bills.
From 01 April 2020, the Climate Change Levy (CCL) has decreased from 0.847p/kWh to 0.811p/kWh. The CCL is a third party cost designed to help the UK reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
This decrease follows the government’s long-term commitment to ‘rebalance’ rates to reflect changes in the fuel mix used in electricity generation.
Businesses that qualify for CCL exemptions and are participating in the government’s Climate Change Agreement (CCA) – such as those in energy intensive sectors – should note that these will fall from 93% to 92% from 01 April 2020.
